The Story

Meadow Head and The Orchard Hut
Meadow Head was once a working farm, and over the last 20 years has been turned into the idyllic getaway that it is today.
Beginnings
It began with the farmland in the year 2000; once a working farm but now a lovely, lived-in green space. It started by planting 4000 mixed native woodland trees to transform it into the scenic environment that our visitors can enjoy today. Now, it’s a woodland, teeming with nature: bluebells, voles and nesting birds all call this home and you might even spot a deer or two.

Making Progress
The orchard was planted in 2012 with apple, cherry, pear, hazel, medlar, and quince trees making up this beautiful area. Enclosing them is an alder hedge planted in a diamond shape to mark the Diamond Jubilee of that year. Whilst protecting the fruit trees, this also allows for the utmost privacy during your stay.

The Orchard Hut
In 2019, The Orchard Hut was delivered to Meadow Head. Expertly built by Blackdown and insulated with sheeps’ wool, the hut is a little piece of luxury nestled in nature. This is your home from home and is designed as such, with lovingly-chosen extras to keep you cosy.

Ready To Welcome You
The finishing touches were then added to the site, the much-loved, eco-friendly hot tub, the Indian kadai fire bowl, the gazebo, and more. The doors were then opened to you in January 2020. Hello!
